Camp Fairwinds acts as a Motor Pool for the HMMV's (Highly Mobile
Multi-Wheeled Vehicles) and as a home for the Marines during USSGH.
USSGH (US Support Group Haiti) is stationed in Port Au Prince, Haiti in
support of Operation Uphold Democracy. The tasks of USSGH include
setting up HA (Humanitarian Assistant) sites, in order to improve the
health of the Haitian population, rebuild the infrastructure, such as
roads and schools, operate hospitals, and provide daily medical calls.
