An Iraqi Police truck and a 401st Military Police Company Humvee drive across the desert towards the objective during a raid August 23, 2003, northeast of Tikrit, Iraq. The raid, led by the Iraqi Police of the Salah Al-Dein province and supported by the 720th Military Police Battalion of Fort Hood, Texas, targeted a gang of bandits responsible for car jackings and robberies along the road from Tikrit to Kirkuk. Iraqi Police arrested 25 suspects, and confiscated several million Dinars, as well as weapons and ammunition. The increased activity of the Iraqi Police has led to a reduction in crime against civilians and coalition forces in Tikrit and the surrounding villages.  (Released)  (US Army photo by Pfc.
