CAMP FUJI, Japan — Marines with 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marine
Regiment, demonstrate security and stability operations for a
contingent of Japan Self Defense Force soldiers here July 23. The SASO
demonstration is meant to prepare the JSDF soldiers who have joined the
international effort to stabilize and offer humanitarian aid to Iraq.
The Marines arrived here July 19 to participate in Fuji Integrated
