Marines with 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, currently attached to 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, cordon off a palm grove in the city of Hadithah, Iraq in preparation for a patrol.  The patrol was conducted to maintain a military presence and search for weapons and enemy activity.
