CAMP HURRICANE POINT, Ar Ramamdi, Iraq (March 31, 2005) -- Twenty-one-year-old Lance Cpl. John S. Summers Jr., of Indianapolis, an anti tank assault man and driver for Whiskey 5, Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, watches 21-year-old Cpl. Michalson Bahe of Casa Grande, Ariz., a motor transportation mechanic with Headquarters and Service Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, fix his humvee at the garage here. Bahe and Pfc. David S. Johnson, who’s also a motor T mechanic, boast a 24-hour turn around time on all the vehicles they work on. The two grease monkeys are responsible for maintaining and repairing 90 of the infantry battalion’s vehicles. They stay on call during the night and routinely find themselves burning the midnight oil fixing humvees and 7-tons at their shop. Photo by Cpl. Tom Sloan
