Camp Pendleton, Calif. (Dec. 11, 2002) -- A U.S. Marine Corps Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) boards a Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) assigned to the "Swift Intruders" of Assault Craft Unit Five (ACU-5) during exercises at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Station.  LCAC's can carry a variety of Marine Corps light and heavy equipment as well as troops for landing on hostile shores.  U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate Airman Jason D.
