United States Marines of Light-Armored Reconnaissance platoon, Marine Forces Unitas, head back to the base camp through the desert wastes of Pisco, Peru in their Light-Armored Vehicle after completing a live-fire exercise during a mock-war field operation. This field operation proved to be valuable training for the Marines during the Peruvian stop-over of the annual Unitas XL-99 deployment to Central and South America, which promotes interoperability and cultivates stronger ties with our foreign allies.  (Official United States Marine Corps Photograph by Cpl.
