Pacific Ocean (Apr. 21, 2003) -- Waves crash between ships as the fast combat support ship USS Sacramento (AOE 1) transfers fuel and cargo to the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson during an underway replenishment.  The ships are part of the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Force participating in the military training exercise TANDEM THRUST 03 in the Marianas Island training area.  The exercise will focus on crisis action planning and execution of contingency response operations.  U.S. Navy photo by Photographer's Mate 2nd Class Inez Lawson. (RELEASED)
