Pacific Ocean (Aug. 4, 2003) -- The U.S. Navy fast combat support ship USS Sacramento (AOE 1) and guided missile destroyer USS Lassen (DDG 82) steam alongside the nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) during an underway replenishment to restock supplies and fuel. The Vinson Carrier Strike Group is currently on an extended deployment in the western Pacific, during an extensive maintenance period for the forward deployed USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) currently in dry dock in Yokosuka, Japan.
