Arabian Gulf (July 23, 2004) -- Sailors assigned to the fast combat support ship USS Seattle (AOE 3) stand ready to commence an underway replenishment with the conventionally powered aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) in the Arabian Gulf. Kennedy is one of seven carrier strike groups (CSGs) involved in Summer Pulse 2004. Summer Pulse 2004 is the deployment of seven carrier strike groups (CSGs), demonstrating the ability of the Navy to provide credible combat capability across the globe, in five theaters with other U.S., allied, and coalition military forces.
