Gulf of Oman (Nov. 18, 2006) -- Amphibious assault ship USS Saipan (LHA 2) performs a replenishment at sea (RAS) and connected replenishment (CONREP) simultaneously with Military Sealift Command fast-combat logistic support ship USNS Supply (T-AOE6). Saipan is currently on deployment in the Fifth Fleet AOR conducting maritime security operations (MSO) in the Gulf of Aden, Gulf of Oman, Arabian Sea, Red Sea, and Indian Ocean.
