Indian Ocean (Jan. 12, 2005) -- The Military Sealift Command (MSC) fast combat support ship USNS Rainier (T-AOE 7) steams through waters of the Indian Ocean just off the coast of the island of Sumatra, Indonesia near Banda Aceh. Rainier is currently assigned to the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) Carrier Strike Group, operating in the Indian Ocean off the waters of Indonesia and Thailand in support of Operation Unified Assistance.
