PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii (May 8, 2008) -- Tugboats assigned to Naval Station Pearl Harbor assist the Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) as she maneuvers into Pearl Harbor. Mercy is en route for a humanitarian mission to the western Pacific and Southeast Asia supporting Pacific Partnership 2008. Pacific Partnership 2008 is designed to strengthen the goodwill developed during previous humanitarian civic assistance missions. Mercy is scheduled to visit the Republic of Philippines, Vietnam, Timor Leste, Papua New Guinea and the Federated States of Micronesia.
