NORFOLK (April 1, 2009) -- Sailors assigned to the aircraft carrier USS
George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) handle lines for the Military Sealift Command
hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) as the ship deploys from Naval
Station Norfolk. Comfort is departing on a four-month deployment to the
U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility supporting U.S. Naval
Forces Southern Command and the U.S. 4th Fleet Continuing Promise 2009
(CP09) humanitarian mission. Comfort will provide the region with a
mobile, flexible and rapidly responsive afloat medical capability for a
number of missions and training opportunities in the Caribbean, Central
