PACIFIC OCEAN (June 4, 2007) - The close-in weapon system (CIWS) fires
from the aft mount aboard guided-missile destroyer USS Mitscher (DDG
57) during live firing exercises. The firing exercises were conducted
during the Team Work South phase of Partnership of the Americas (POA)
2007. POA is focusing on enhancing relationships with partner nations
through a variety of exercises and events at sea and on shore
throughout South America, Latin America, and the Caribbean. U.S. Navy
