Philadelphia, Pa. (June 30, 2004) - The guided missile destroyer USS
Laboon (DDG 58) passes the battleship USS New Jersey museum as she
pulls into Penn's Landing pier in Philadelphia, Pa. on the Delaware
River. Laboon is taking part in the city's "Let Freedom Ring" Fourth of
July celebration. The celebration includes free concerts, fireworks and
a ceremony honoring Afghanistan leader Hamid Karzai. Laboon will host
visitors for two days of tours, while Philadelphia recruiters will be
on hand to explain Navy opportunities to interested visitors. U.S. Navy
