South China Sea (Aug. 14, 2005) - The guided missile destroyer USS Paul Hamilton (DDG 60) underway in the South China Sea. The ship is en route to the Philippines phase of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2005. CARAT is an annual series of bilateral military training exercises with several Southeast Asian nations designed to enhance the interoperability of the respective sea services.
