Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (Jan. 24, 2007) - Electronics Technician 2nd Class Joseph Melchor, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Paul Hamilton (DDG 60), climbs the mast of the Paul Hamilton to perform pre-deployment maintenance on the International Maritime Satellite (INMARSAT) system. Paul Hamilton and her crew are currently making preparations to deploy as a member of the USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) Carrier Strike Group. Stennis and its strike group are scheduled to enter 5th Fleet's area of operation and provide support to U.S. and coalition forces operating there.
