SUEZ CANAL, Egypt (Sept. 23, 2008) -- The the guided-missile destroyer USS Ramage (DDG 61), front, and the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) transit the Suez Canal. Iwo Jima and Ramage are deployed as part of the Iwo Jima Expeditionary Strike Group supporting maritime security operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
