USS KITTY HAWK (CV 63), At Sea (Dec. 7, 2006) -  The guided missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62), sails away after a replenishment at sea (RAS) with USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63).  Guided missile destroyers are multi-mission anti-air warfare, anti-submarine warfare and anti-surface warfare combatants.   RAS is the on-and off-loading of fuel and stores while ships are underway.  The Kitty Hawk, operating out of Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan, is currently deployed off Okinawa on a regularly-scheduled deployment.  U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist Seaman Stephen W.
