PACIFIC OCEAN (Dec. 3, 2007) -- The guided-missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62) and its sister ship JS Ohnami (DD-111) of the Japan Maritime Self Defense Force steam together during a photo exercise. Ohnami and Fitzgerald are participating in the Ship Antisubmarine Warfare Readiness and Evaluation Measurement (SHAREM) 155. SHAREM focuses on antisubmarine warfare procedures and tactics designed to measure how effectively surface ships and aircraft can detect and track submarines.
