Aboard USS Gonzalez (DDG 66) Apr. 4, 1999 -- The super structure of the
destroyer Gonzalez becomes visible in the pitch black early morning
hours, as a "Tomahawk" cruise missile launches from the aft (rear)
missile deck. Gonzalez is currently forward deployed in the Adriatic
Sea to support the NATO-led Operation Allied Force. In recent days
military planners have stepped up the bombing campaign to include
targets in the heart of the Serbian capital of Belgrade. U.S. Navy
