Souda Bay, Crete, Greece (July 20, 2005) -- Tug boats head out to meet
the guided missile destroyer USS Mahan (DDG 72) as she arrives in S
Souda Bay for a routine port visit. Mahan recently participated in
FRUKUS ‘05, a multilateral fleet training and command post
exercise with France, Russia, and the United Kingdom in the eastern
Atlantic Ocean. FRUKUS fosters an environment of cooperation suitable
to meet future operational requirements and contingencies. U.S. Navy
