San Diego, CA (Jan. 4, 2006) -- Guided missile destroyer USS Decatur (DDG 73) departs her homeport of San Diego for a scheduled six-month deployment. Decatur is part of the Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group and will conduct naval operations in support of the global war on terrorism, as well as national and theater cooperative security commitments in the western Pacific.
