PERSIAN GULF (July 19, 2007) -- Guided-missile destroyer USS Higgins (DDG 76) pulls alongside nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Higgins is deployed with Nimitz Carrier Strike Group. Nimitz Carrier Strike Group and embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 11 are deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations conducting maritime operations and supporting the global war on terrorism.
