PEARL HARBOR (Feb. 27, 2010) -- The guided-missile destroyer USS O'Kane (DDG 77) makes its way out of Pearl Harbor as the state of Hawaii prepares for a possible tsunami generated by an 8.8 magnitude earthquake near Chile.  Commander, Navy Region Hawaii and Naval Surface Group Middle Pacific ordered four ships based at Pearl Harbor to get underway as a precautionary measure. USS O'Kane, USS Crommelin (FFG 37), USS Chafee (DDG 90) and USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93) were ordered to get underway to avoid potential damage to ships and piers from anticipated high tidal surges. U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist Mark Logico (Released)
