ARABIAN GULF (January 23, 2008) -- The Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Winston S. Churchill (DDG 81) performs an emergency breakaway manuever during a replenishment-at-sea (RAS) with the Nimitz-class nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) and the Fast Combat Support Ship USNS Arctic (T-AOE 8).  Truman and embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 3 are underway on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of Maritime Security Operations (MSO).  MSO help set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment, as well as complement the counterterrorism and security efforts of regional nations. These operations seek to disrupt violent extremist's use of the maritime environment as a venue for attack or to transport personnel, weapons or other materials.  U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Jay C.
