San Diego, Calif. (May 29, 2005) -- The guided missile destroyer USS Lassen (DDG 82), assigned to Destroyer Squadron Two Three, parades the colors as crew members man the rails in tribute to World War II veterans. A 60th anniversary commemoration ceremony of World War II was held at the Embarcadero Marina Park in San Diego, honoring veterans from all services for their service and sacrifice through the years.
