Persian Gulf (Feb. 8, 2005) -- The guided missile destroyer USS Mason (DDG 87) underway in the Persian Gulf. Mason is conducting operations in the Persian Gulf as a part of Destroyer Squadron Two Six (DESRON 26) and the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) Carrier Strike Group. The Harry S.
