Boston, Mass. (Nov. 9, 2002) -- The newly guided missile destroyer USS Preble (DDG 88) held its commissioning ceremony on South Boston's Commonwealth Pier while moored bow to bow with USS Constitution, the world's oldest commissioned warship, commissioned on October 21st, 1797.
