Persian Gulf (June 4, 2005) -- The Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Mustin (DDG 89) cruises alongside the fast combat support ship USS Camden (AOE 2) during a replenishment at sea (RAS). USS Camden is currently conducting refueling operations in the region in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, while supporting USS Mustin, who is currently conducting Maritime Interception Operations (MIO) within international waters under the U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility. These operations are aimed at interrupting the flow of personnel and material that may support international terrorist organizations within the scope of Maritime Security Operations (MSO).  MSO sets the condition for security and stability in the maritime environment, complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts of regional nations, and deny international terrorists use of the maritime environment as a venue for attack or to transport personnel, weapons, or other material.
