SOUTH CHINA SEA (June 12, 2009) -- The guided-missile destroyer USS
Chung-Hoon (DDG 93) fires its Mark 62 5-inch gun during a Cooperation
Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2009 gunnery exercise. The
guided-missile destroyer USS Chafee (DDG 90) transits ahead during the
exercise with the Republic of Singapore Navy. CARAT is a series of
bilateral exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen
relationships and enhance the operational readiness of the
