PACIFIC OCEAN (August 1, 2007) -- Capt. David Woods and Capt. Thomas Downing, from commander, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 11, meet on the flight deck after performing an airborne change of command in the skies over the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Downing relieved Woods as Commander, CVW-11. The Nimitz Strike Group and embarked Carrier Air Wing 11 are deployed in the U.S. 7th Fleet operating area.
