Kings Bay, Ga. (Aug. 12, 2005) -- The Sea Wolf-class attack submarine USS Jimmy Carter (SSN 23) arrives in Kings Bay following a one-night underway that included an embark by former President Jimmy Carter and wife Rosalynn. This was the first underway period on a submarine for the former president since ending his naval career in 1953. USS Jimmy Carter is the third Sea Wolf-class attack submarine.
