DIEGO GARCIA (March 2008) -- A tugboat from Navy Support Facility Diego
Garcia helps guide the fast-attack submarine USS Dallas (SGN 700)
through the shallow lagoon as the submarine pulls into port to conduct
a voyage repair period. Dallas is on a scheduled six-month deployment
to the European and Central commands areas of responsibility.
Fast-attack submarines deploy all over the world in support of fleet
and theater mission objectives as well as participating in
international exercises that build peaceful relationships with foreign
