Norfolk, Va.--USS Norfolk (SSN 714) returned Sunday as part of NASSAU Expeditionary Strike Group (NAS ESG).  NAS ESG is comprised of amphibious assault ship USS Nassau (LHA 4), guided missile-cruiser USS Cape St. George (CG 71), guided missile cruiser USS Winston Churchill (DDG 81), amphibious transport ship USS Austin (LPD 4), fast attack submarine USS Norfolk and amphibious dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) stationed at Little Creek Amphibious Base, Norfolk.  NAS ESG successfully completed a six-month deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism, where they conducted Maritime Security Operations for the U.S. Fifth Fleet and Theater Security Cooperation for the U.S. Sixth Fleet.  The ships departed Norfolk November 4, 2005.
