Souda Bay, Crete, Greece (Mar. 11, 2004) - The nuclear powered attack submarine USS Albany (SSN 753) is escorted out of the Souda Bay harbor by a security patrol boat as she gets underway following a brief port visit. Albany is homeported in Norfolk, Va. and is the third improved Los Angles-class attack submarine. The improved submarines are quieter, faster, have hull diving planes, improved fire control systems and is ice breaking capable for polar operations. U.S. Navy photo by Paul Farley. (RELEASED)
