NORFOLK (March 9, 2009) -- The Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS
Toledo (SSN 769) is guided into the Elizabeth River to return to
Groton, Conn., after a 27-month Depot Modernization Period (DMP) at
Northrop Grumman Newport News Shipyard. The DMP provided upgrades to
Toledo's fire control, weapons, sonar, navigation, and propulsion plant
systems and marked the first DMP for a submarine at Northrop Grumman
