SOUDA BAY, Crete, Greece (Jul. 15, 2007) -- Guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60) arrives at the Marathi NATO Pier Facility for a port visit. Normandy departed her homeport of Norfolk, Va., in April and is assigned as the Flagship for Standing NATO Maritime Group (SNMG) 1. SNMG1 is a multi-national seagoing force, on task continuously giving NATO the ability to respond quickly and with flexibility to promote NATO's interests anywhere in the world.
