ABOARD USS KITTY HAWK (CV 63) AT SEA (Feb. 29, 2004) -- USS
Chancellorsville (CG 62) launches a BQM-74E drone in support of a NATO
Sea Sparrow Missile test firing from USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). Kitty Hawk
later fired two NATO Sea Sparrows to seek out and intercept the
drone. Currently under way in the 7th Fleet area of
responsibility (AOR), Kitty Hawk is the world's only permanently
forward-deployed aircraft carrier, operating from Yokosuka, Japan.
