 Indian Ocean (Aug. 3, 2006) -- The guided-missile cruiser USS Cowpens (CG 63) sails along side USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) while transiting through heavy seas during a close steaming exercise. Cowpens is one of two Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruisers, attached to the 7th fleet area of responsibility (AOR).
