JAVA SEA (May 28, 2010) -- The guided-missile frigate USS Vandegrift
(FFG 48) and the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Mellon (WHEC 717) transit side
by side during a division tactics exercise as part of Naval Engagement
Activity (NEA) Indonesia 2010. NEA is in its 16th year and is part of
the Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) series of
bilateral exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen
