Pacific Ocean (Nov. 1, 2003) -- The guided missile frigate USS Ford (FFG 54), guided missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain (CG 57) and guided missile destroyer USS Howard (DDG 83) maneuver to establish a multi-ship column formation.  The ships are operating with USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) during the Carrier Strike Group's Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) in the Southern California operating area.
