Pascagoula, Miss. (Jan. 25, 2005) -- Personnel assigned to the
amphibious assault ship USS Saipan (LHA 2) works late into the
afternoon to on load supplies for their mission to Haiti. Saipan is on
scheduled two-month deployment to the U.S. Southern Command (NAVSO)
area of responsibility in support of New Horizons, the humanitarian
assistance efforts in Haiti. As part of New Horizons, U.S. forces will
build schoolhouses, drill wells and provide medical attention to the
