PEARL HARBOR (June 1, 2007) -- Davis Wolf, age 5, waves good-bye to Sailors aboard USS Peleliu (LHA 5), as the amphibious assault ship leaves Naval Station Pearl Harbor, officially launching Pacific Partnership 2007. Pacific Partnership is a four-month mission that brings together host nation medical personnel, partner nation military medical personnel and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), to provide medical, dental, construction and other humanitarian-assistance programs ashore and afloat in the Philippines, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and the Marshall Islands.
