NEW YORK (May 23, 2007) -- USS Wasp (LHD 1) passes the Statue of Liberty as the ship enters New York Harbor during the parade of ships on the opening day of the 20th anniversary of Fleet Week New York. More than 3,000 Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen will participate in various community relations (COMREL) projects and see the sights in New York City during fleet week.
