The Arabian Sea (Mar. 23, 2003) -- On the flight deck aboard the
amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) aircrew and flight deck
personnel prepare for daily combat re-supply missions into Southern
Iraq. Kearsarge and embarked Marines are deployed with coalition forces
in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, the multi-national coalition
effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass
