Norfolk, Va. (May 17, 2006) -- Amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) is escorted by tugboats as it gets underway for the Dutch led Joint-Caribe Lion 2006  (J-CL06) exercise. Three U.S. Navy ships with nearly 2,000 Sailors will join France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom, and Venezuela in the Caribbean Sea from mid-May to early June.
