ONSLOW BAY, N.C. (June 30, 2007) -- An MV-22 Osprey, from the "Golden Eagles" of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 162, takes off from the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) as part of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) offload, which is the final evolution of a six-month deployment for Bataan and the MEU. Bataan, commanded by Capt. Rick Snyder, left her homeport of Norfolk, Va., Jan. 4, 2007, on a scheduled deployment as the flagship of the Bataan Expeditionary Strike Group.
