PORT EVERGLADES, Fla. (May 1, 2008) -- The multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), the guided-missile destroyer USS Ramage (DDG 61) and the dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) are moored pier side in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., for Fleet Week Port Everglades. During Fleet Week, more than 2,500 Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen will participate in a number of community outreach activities as well as enjoy the hospitality and tourism South Florida has to offer.
